iPhone paintings

In 2008, I was swept up in the excitement of the new iPhone 3 and its touch screen technology. I began experimenting with various painting apps, and quickly became hooked on the endless creative possibilities they offered. Brushes and Sketchbook Pro were some of my favorites, and I spent hours every day painting and sharing my work on online communities like Tumblr and Flickr. It was a wonderful, immersive experience, and I'm grateful for the time I spent honing my skills and exploring my artistic side under the handle John T. and John T. Halliday. Below are some of my favorite digital paintings from that time, along with the descriptions I wrote to accompany them.
